Become a Support Group Facilitator

Help us hold space for our community.

You’ve sat in the circle. You know what it means to show up, be seen, and feel a little less alone. We’re inviting you to help create that experience for others.

Queer Divorce Club is growing, and we’re looking for 3 - 4 community members to join our team of peer-led Support Group facilitators. We’re e’re looking for real people (not therapists or experts) from our community who get it, who care, and who want to give back.

What You’d Be Doing

As a QDC Support Group Facilitator, you’ll help guide our 90-minute virtual sessions on Zoom. You will welcome members, keep the space warm and grounded, make sure everyone who wants to share gets a chance to be heard, and close each session with care. You’d be joining a small, dedicated team of facilitators who believe in the power of peer support.

What You’ll Receive

  • $100 training stipend to complete your facilitator training (2 virtual sessions + 1 post-session debrief)

  • $50 per session you facilitate

  • A community of peers who have your back

  • The deep satisfaction of knowing you made a difference for someone going through something really hard

Qualifications

  • You’ve participated in at least one Queer Divorce Club support group session

  • You identify as 2-SLGBTQ+ and have personal experience with separation or divorce

  • Access to a computer and reliable internet to host Zoom meetings

  • Warm, non-judgmental, and genuinely care about this community

  • Available for two 1-hour virtual training sessions

  • Available to lead two 90-minute groups each quarter

  • Able to participate in quarterly facilitator meetings

The time and date for training and our quarterly facilitator meetings will be set by the full group based on availability. The sessions you will lead will be set on the calendar 3-6 months in advance.

About the Training

Our training is intentional and supportive. You’ll complete two one-hour virtual training sessions with our team before you facilitate your first group. Then, after your first session, you’ll have a one-to-one debrief to reflect on how it went and get any support you need.

Why We’re Expanding

Our current facilitators do incredible work and our sessions are filling up. We need support with our current group times and want to offer more groups in different time zones so that more of our community can find a session that works for them.

Sound like you? We’d love to hear from you.

Fill out the interest form. We’ll be in touch to set up a short, casual conversation to get to know each other

Thank you for being part of this community. Thank you for showing up.
